What is God doing in your heart right now:
I love the Lord and became a Christian at a young age. I was baptized when I was 12. As we grow older and hopefully more mature in our Christian faith it seems we can go through different areas in our faith in which we need to concentrate more on. Lately the Lord has really been talking to me, telling me I need to be even more in prayer for our community and our nation as a whole. The turmoil in our nation is mounting daily. The Lord has commanded us to love Him and love one another. We must be in constant prayer that as Christians we can show his love to all those around us, and pray, that that love will soften all hearts and grow from person to person. I pray that we as Christians, even in these hard times, will continue our faith and love for our Lord Jesus Christ and want to share that faith and love with all those around us.
Good is good all the time AND all the time God is good!

What we believe:

First Church of God in Newton, KS is a non-denominational church affiliated with the Church of God, with national offices in Anderson, IN. Go to the Church of God website at www.jesusisthesubject.org to find out more.

First Church of God believes in the Trinity. The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Christ was born through virgin birth to save the people from their sins. His death and resurrection brought salvation and rebirth possible for all who call on Him as Savior.

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God. It was written by God through the work and faithfulness of men who wrote the words as God gave them. It is now our guide for life and the center point of all decision making.

We believe the Kingdom of God is alive and active in the world today. The numerous churches that make up the Kingdom of God are fulfilling the mission and vision that was originally placed on the church.

We believe that all men are sinful. Therefore, bringing us to the feet of Jesus where we meet Him for salvation and forgiveness. This redemption by the blood of Christ brings us to a point of salvation and eventually eternity with Him! Once a person accepts Christ we believe in the act of water baptism. This is an outward expression of an inward decision.

We invite you to attend our church, learn more about us, and take part in Base Point. Base Point is our open discussion on beliefs and practices that we hold close to us. Contact the church for further information.
